Laser Tag

Laser tag is a great team sport that can be played in a number of different sized groups. This is a fun way to build relationships and work off stress. This makes laser tag great for team building days for businesses of all sizes. Laser tag was first used by the US Military for training purposes but has since grown to be one of the most popular team sporting activities available for both indoor and outdoor arenas. Laser tag is suitable for children and adults and involves using vests with sensors that will pick up when a ‘hit’ is scored by the gun-style ‘tagger’. A central computer records the scores so that you can see which team has achieved the highest score at the end of the session.

Types of Laser Tag

When it comes to laser tag games the two most common options are IR and laser systems. IR is a more cost effective option but the accuracy is not as good as the slightly more expensive laser systems. Laser systems use fibre-optic technology which allows for much greater accurate and scoring and the sensors are lightweight and hidden away inside the vests. This allows you to move around more easily and prevents any damage if you want to do any impressive rolls and dives. With IR systems a receiver is fixed to your vest which can be bulky and can get damaged if you get too energetic whilst you are playing the game. You can play laser tag at home, in the park or in specially designed indoor and outdoor arenas.

Get the Latest Equipment and Accessories

The latest equipment can provide you with much more than just a basic receiver and trigger. Vibrating hit sensors, enhanced sound systems, multiple scoring systems and even fog machines can all be provided by suppliers and this can enhance the experience and make it much more engaging. If you want your laser tag game to get people really involved and working in teams then it is important to choose the right equipment for the arena you have to play in.

Buy Direct

It is a good idea to buy direct from a laser tag supplier. This means you will be able to get quick answers to any questions you may have about the equipment. The Internet is a great place to find out more information on laser tag systems and reputable suppliers.

What to Wear

If you are playing laser tag in a proper arena then you will need to adhere to the dress code. This will include adequate body coverage (swimwear, halter tops, shorts and skirts may be prohibited) and also proper shoes (no sandals or high heels). This is because the environment may be challenging as it will have been designed with lots of cover in the form of dense undergrowth, bunkers, dug outs and different terrain. You will of course have to wear the sensor vest as well to record if you take a hit.
