What Everyone Should Know About Purchasing Paintball Guns And Gear by Jeremy Smith
Paintball is an extremely popular sport and is increasing in popularity every year. When using paintball guns a player should always obtain the correct gear and protection before they enter the playing field. Depending on the climate and how intense the game is, a player should carefully choose the right type of gun that suits their needs. Once a gun is chosen, the next step is protective gear. Protection that should be worn at all times during a game are helmets, gloves and chest pads; these will keep vital organs and facial area from getting hit with flying Paintballs.
Choosing a Gun
There are a variety of guns to choose from to suite every purpose and need including a stock gun, semi-automatic and electric. A stock gun is mainly used for “stock only” games, since they can only hold 10 balls at a time. Players with the stocks will most likely be gunned-down when playing against semi-automatic weapons, due to the lack of speed. Electric weapons are great for individuals looking to change the amount of pellets being shot from their gun at different times in the game. This type of marker contains computer chips that allow an individual to change the firing modes of the weapon at any time.
Semi-automatic paintball guns are extremely popular and are strong weapons on the playing field. They can shoot balls at a high rate of speed and can take down a target almost instantly. Whatever type of gun is chosen, it is important that it gives the player what they need to take on to the field with them and the defense needed to take the gold.
Proper Protection
Playing with paintball guns can be extremely entertaining, but can be very physical as well. Proper protection should be worn throughout the game to keep a player’s face and body well-protected at all times. Gear that should be worn are masks, chest pads and gloves. Wearing gloves gives fingers the grip they need to stay on the trigger without slipping on and off during a heated battle. On frigid days, gloves can also be a savior to competitors playing a long drawn out game in the middle of the woods. The most important protective pieces to be worn are the mask and chest pad. By wearing this specially designed equipment, a player can decrease any chance of injuries occurring to their body.
Before every paintball game an individual should make a checklist of their gear and equipment to ensure that all their armor and equipment is there and working properly. They should also check their equipment before heading out to the field.
